Fantastic!

Great tour! Well organised. David was an excellent guide and driver (with informative commentary). Hobbiton is awesome, highly recommended. Yummy ice cream stop on the way back to Auckland.

10/10 would do again

Dave was an entertaining guide and safe driver, spot on with the local recs as well. I had an amazing time on the set, and the ice cream stop on the way back was a great way to wrap up the day.

Excellent tour and tour guide!

This was such a fun trip! The highlight was having such an amazing guide. Dave was knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and humorous. He kept us laughing while educating us about New Zealand in general, Auckland more specifically, and about Hobbiton. If you enjoyed the books or movies even a little, this is the tour for you. Totally worth the time and expense.

Great Day in Hobbiton

Wonderful tour with “Cam.” He picked us up on time, provided informative commentary on the drive down, delivered us to Hobbiton, and gave us a “local” tour on the way back to Auckland.

Loads of fun!

Bringing a movie to life by visiting the movie set and seeing it in person was great and well worth it.

This was a great tour. We got to see a lot of the beautiful countryside on the drive from Auckland to the Hobbiton Movie Set and back to Auckland. New Zealand is beautiful and seeing the hobbit set brought back memories of the Lord of Rings movies that I watched over 20 years ago. Our guide, Simon I believe (we had tours every day over 4 weeks), did a great job of sharing both history and information about various sites.

A Cheeky, Unforgettable Hobbiton Adventure

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Cheeky Kiwi Travel! From the moment we met our tour guide, Timmy, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. He was warm, engaging, and had us laughing the entire way with his hilarious one-liner jokes. Timmy was incredibly knowledgeable about New Zealand’s culture and history, and he did an amazing job keeping us on schedule, even when other passengers caused delays at stops. He got us safely to Hobbiton Movie Set, checked us in right away, and made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy the gift shop and café. When the tour ended, he was waiting right at the drop-off spot, exactly where he said he’d be. The trip was smooth and comfortable, with plenty of refreshments and snacks provided along the way, and he even surprised us with a special stop that made the day extra memorable. Timmy’s personality (and the cheeky little ice cream 😉) were honestly my favorite parts, right up there with the Hobbiton tour itself. Overall, this was a top-notch experience from start to finish. We would absolutely book another adventure with Cheeky Kiwi Travel the next time we’re in Auckland. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect, the pick up time respected, the high quality of the bus, and most important: the guide was wonderful !!! The destination was unforgettable, a "must" when visiting Auckland.
