We had a fantastic time with Jeoff from Cheeky Kiwi! He was absolutely amazing, so full of knowledge- answered any and all questions. Super impressive! He went the extra mile and we had a super time. The views were spectacular from beginning to end. And an added bonus was the lunch stop, it was absolutely delicious and on the house made it all more enjoyable đ Could not recommend this company more, definitely book with them and hopefully youâll be lucky enough to have Jeoff as your guide!!

Coastal adventure and beautiful nature
We had a great tour in Coromandel in a small fun group. The guide Trent the rock Star was super funny and showed us great spots as well as doing a good shop as a photographer. There were also small snacks and something to drink on the bus and enough breaks. Great coastal adventure and beautiful nature. Our highlight Cathendral Cove â¤ď¸ who wants to experience what and likes adventure should do this tour.

A great day on the Coromandel Peninsula
What a lovely day visiting the Coromandel Peninsula! Our guide Trent really went the extra mile to make our experience memorable. We were a small group so Trent took us on a couple of great walks to get the best photos of beaches and flora. We got to spend time at Cathedral Cove and a few other beaches. Trent is very knowledgeable on the Coromandel and also pointed out special nature reserves that are preserving the Kauri trees. We drove by bird reserves across from the peninsula and so much more. Trent was a wonderful guide and truly went out of his way to give us a special day with lots of memories and so many photos đ.

Great solo experience with a fantastic guide
I joined the tour as a solo traveler and English is not my first language, but Ben made everything easy and enjoyable. He was very warm and enthusiastic, and he kept sharing interesting stories throughout the trip. There were nine people in our group, and everyone had a great time. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it.

Cheeky Kiwi are the way to go for a truly fun day out!
Where to start with this grear value tour. Sun; sea and seemingly endless fun! Ben our tour guide and driver set the tone for the day with his jovial, high sprited demeanor; even st 6.15am when he arrived at my hotel. What greeted us on a warm white sand beach after a two houe drive was like a scene from a movie. Well as Ben informed us, the stunning Cathederal Cove location was used in the film Narnia. Numerous photo captures and videos later we progressed onto the Hot Water sand each with bucket and spade in hand to dig our very own hot pool to la languish in only 20 to 30 metres in from the sea shore. Amazingly hot water gushes up from the sand after only digging a few feet. It's a fab communal activity and great for team/group bonding. Then one can go for a refeshing dip in the inviting ocean afterwards (Don't forget your swimwear) Overall this tour is truly the best way to spend the dsy if looking to book a tour and Cheeky Kiwi are the way to go for the all round fun experience. Highly recommended.

Great day out to the Coromandel Peninsula
Fabulous scenery, fun and knowledgeable guide, nice pace - it did not feel rushed at all. In terms of finding lunch during the lunch break, the Hahei ice crema and eatery is fine but not amazing.

The team stayed in touch throughout, sending timely reminders for pickup and even checking in to confirm details like our contact number to ensure everything would run smoothly on the day. That level of organisation and care immediately gave us confidence that we were in good hands. On the day of the tour, Matt arrived right on time and set the tone for what turned out to be an absolutely fantastic journey. From start to finish, everything flowed seamlessly under his guidance. What really made the experience special was how much knowledge and passion he shared along the way. He didnât just focus on the main attractions like Hobbiton and the Glowworm Cave. He brought the whole journey to life with fascinating insights about Auckland and New Zealand in general, making even the drive feel meaningful and engaging. Matt also had a real talent for making the experience extra comfortable for everyone. He gave us thoughtful tips, like the best seats for the most scenic views, which made a noticeable difference in how much we enjoyed the trip. One of the most impressive touches was how he organised our lunch in advance like taking our orders early so the cafĂŠ could prepare everything ahead of time. It might seem like a small detail, but it made everything so smooth and stress-free when we arrived. Beyond being organised and knowledgeable, Matt was genuinely one of the friendliest and most attentive guides weâve ever met. He made a point to check in with every passenger throughout the day, always making sure everyone was comfortable, safe, and enjoying themselves. You could really tell he cared, not just about the schedule, but about the people on the tour. His warmth and easygoing nature made the whole group feel relaxed and connected. There were also some lovely unexpected highlights that made the day even more special. On the way, Matt stopped at a charming ice cream shop in Pukeno and even recommended a flavour for us to try. We went with his suggestion and it did not disappoint! It was such a simple moment, but it added a fun and personal touch to the journey. By the end of the trip, we honestly didnât want it to end. It was one of those rare experiences where everything just comes together perfectly ,the places, the people, and the guide who ties it all together. A huge shout-out to Matt, the Cheeky Kiwi team, and everyone behind the scenes who made this experience so seamless and memorable. We would absolutely travel with Cheeky Kiwi again in a heartbeat, and if weâre lucky enough, weâd love to have Matt as our guide once more. I will surely give big shoutout to my friends and family as well! Enlightment about New Zealand History and Tours
Our guide Hanoz was amazing! He made my experience extremely memorable and he was very knowledgeable about NZ and the places we were traveling to. I would definitely recommend this to people I know if all tour guides were like Hanoz.

What an amazing experience! Everything that I expected and much more! Our guide Liam was very knowledgeable and told so many wonderful facts and stories all throughout the journey, now I know so much more about New Zealand. There was a lovely and friendly atmosphere and lots of fun

Excellent guide, wonderful experience
Obviously Hobbiton was charming and the glow worm caves were fantastic, but you can book that with many tour operators. What you wonât necessarily get is the guide. Liam was extremely knowledgeable and determined to make us better understand Maori culture and history. Somehow he managed to do all of that and still keep us on schedule with a mandatory ice cream stop.

Well worth the travel from Auckland!
This was a well-planned and fun experience. Our tour guide Simon was funny, nice, and knowledgeable. The Hobbiton movie set tour was detailed and well worth the travel from Auckland. Simon took us on roads less traveled so we could see lovely countryside. The glow worm cave tour was brief but interesting; the boat ride was clearly the best part. We also had a fabulous lunch included and stopped a few times for coffee and ice cream. Although it was a long day, it really didn't feel that way and we had good conversation, some laughs, and a great time overall.
