This tour is exceptional. Both Hobbit-on and the Glowworm Cave are must visit places.

Our tour guide Sam from Cheeky Kiwi was excellent. He is knowledgeable and professional. The Hobbiton Movie set was a magical place. The Glowworm Cave was an experience of a life time.

Hobbiton & the Waitomo Caves Day Tour

Our day tour to Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves was absolutely great from start to finish. Sam, our tour guide, was wonderful throughout the day, from the early morning pick up to the drive home. We had a little quiet time before he began to share his knowledge and insights about Auckland and the sights to and from our destinations, which added to our enjoyment of the day, Hobbiton was so much more than we ever expected - a truly amazing place! - and the Waitomo Caves were breathtakingly beautiful. Both were well worth the early starting time! We appreciated the early morning coffee break and lunch was delicious, with a wide variety of meals to choose from. Despite the rain, it was a spectacular tour! Thank you, Sam!

We went on an adventure

Fantastic from start to finish, From the early hours of the morning to the dinner time return, Liam (tour guide) filled us with his knowledge along the roads to Hobbiton, via a service station for a morning coffee and pie. Hobbiton was brilliant, you have to visit too understand. Lunch was delicious and plentiful before heading to the Wiatomo Glowworm caves, this was also awesome, the day was completed with a stop off for some Tip Top Ice cream on our way home, very tasty.

Tour ist absolut zu empfehlen!

Wir haben die Tour recht spontan gebucht, weil andere Pläne geplatzt sind und waren erst ein bisschen verunsichert wegen dem Preis (rund 200 Euro) . Jetzt im Nachhinein wissen wir aber, dass es wirklich jeden Euro wert war! Die Gruppe mit 16 Leuten hatte eine gute Größe und schon die Fahrt nach Hobbiton war sehr interessant, da unser Begleiter (Liam) viele Fakten und Geschichten zu Auckland und Neuseeland auf Lager hatte. Man konnte ihn auch alles fragen, das war wirklich super! Die Tour durch Hobbinton war wirklich wunderschön und auch da war der Herr der uns durchgeführt hat nett und sehr kompetent . Danach waren wir beim Lunch, da waren die Portionen gut groß. Und dann sind wir zu den Waitomo Caves gefahren, die standen eigentlich nicht auf unserer Liste, aber sie sind wirklich auch sehr zu empfehlen! Auch dort haben wir eine sehr gute Führung (von Ta Me) bekommen. Am Rückweg waren wir dann noch ein Eis essen und wurden dann von Liam an oder sehr in der Nähe unserer Unterkünfte abgesetzt. Also kurz gesagt, Tour absolut zu empfehlen und Liam macht einen mega Job als Reiseleitung ☺️.

Excellent guided tour to Hobit movie set

Driver is great. Provided detailed information on many things on our way, including some history of NZ and importance of some of the landmarks etc.

Safe n worth travel mode for solo traveller .

Tour was amazing , 1st solo travel experince with Cheeky Kiwi Travels. Worth of money , visiting time on a movie set n cave acceptable , it was great , on time felt if had more time . Safest tour n hv more plans with kiwi travels. Matt was great , flow up on every details . Organising n on time . Hobbiton movie set tour fun n on detailed finally visit my movie location . inside bilbo house tour end with one of houses n cool refreshment on green dragon enjoyed lot great day . Waitomo caves , learned lot abt breeding , boat experience to see glow worms facinating .
